Until March 13, it is planning a new beneficial appointment edition, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic. Thousands of volunteers from 81 dell’onlus provincial branches will offer chocolate ‘signed’ Ail eggs, compared with a minimum membership fee of 12 Euros. The initiative, in its 23rd year, has enabled it to raise significant funds earmarked to support major research projects and support – stresses the Ail – helping to raise awareness of the progress of scientific research in the field of blood cancer. The relevant in their studies and the increasingly effective and targeted therapies, including stem cell transplantation, resulted in a great improvement in the diagnosis and treatment of haematological patients. It ‘must, however, continue on this road to get more goals and make leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma increasingly curable.
The funds raised will be used to support research; finance GIMEMA (Group Italian adult hematologic diseases), which owns more than 150 hematology centers, with the aim to identify and disseminate the best diagnostic and therapeutic standards for the benefit of patients across the Peninsula; work together in the service of home care for adults and children (the Ail finances today 50 home care services in Italy, for a total of over 57,000 home interventions in a year); build lodging houses Ail near the therapy centers, to accommodate patients non-residents and allow them to cope with long periods of treatment (there are 36 Italian cities that host the service, with 3,120 people assisted every year between patients and their families); build gambling halls and schools in the hospital.
